Based in the Hague, Waterwolf provides Brussels-based companies and public affairs agencies an insight in Dutch politics, organizations and networks. Waterwolf shares its knowledge through stakeholder mapping and issue monitoring. Information is the key to a successful lobby.

Waterwolf is well placed in the Dutch political, social and business networks. It addresses its clients’ interests and objectives through combining local expertise with a good understanding of the European and Brussels environment.

Stakeholder mapping and issue monitoring

The basis for a successful lobby campaign is understanding the network of all interested parties. Knowing the organizations, persons and other stakeholders involved is essential. Waterwolf provides this information by giving an overview of the relevant stakeholders together with their position in the network and all relevant background information.

Waterwolf has experience in the fields of government practice, healthcare practice, transport, environment and new business development.

Standardization

Waterwolf has good understanding of the issues in the field of European and international standardization. Through developing technical standards the competiveness of trade and industry is increased. Standardization drives markets but is itself also market driven.

Waterwolf is specialized in the fields of medical devices, biocompatibility of medical devices and consumer goods.

Profile

Waterwolf was founded in 2011 by Jeroen van Dijken.

Jeroen was a trainee at Public Matters in The Hague and APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office before starting his working career at the Dutch think-tank and Institute of International Relations ‘Clingendael’. Following, he worked for the Dutch Normalization Institute NEN as the European Secretary for CEN/TC 206 and ISO/TC 194 WG 8 and WG 15, all dealing with biocompatibility of medical devices. During his work at NEN he was asked to start working as the political assistant to Ton Elias, Member of the Dutch House of Representatives. He works for the Dutch Retail Council (RND) since December 2012.

Jeroen  holds a Master of Laws degree in International and European Law from the University of Groningen, a Master of Science degree from the University of Twente and a Master of Arts degree from the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, both in European Studies.
